The UNO Election Commission serves as the body responsible for administering, overseeing, and certifying Student Government Association (SGA) elections.
- The Election Commission shall be made up of at least five (5) but no more than nine (9) Commissioners who shall be appointed by the Director of Recruitment and confirmed by a two-thirds (2/3) majority of the Senate.
- The Commission establishes the election calendar, reviews and verifies candidate eligibility, conducts candidate orientations, monitors campaigning and campaign finance compliance, adjudicates complaints or disputes, and certifies final election results.
- In carrying out these duties, the Commission ensures that all elections are conducted fairly, transparently, and in compliance with SGA governing documents and applicable university policies.
- Time Commitment: Election Commission meetings, trainings, and election-related activities may include occasional evenings and weekends.
